THE BIG 10 for Beauty Bar San Francisco

Beauty Bar is celebrating its San Francisco celebrity status with a

10 year Anniversary party. The party will be the stuff of legends

and we want you there to experience it full measure (something to

tell your grand-kids about). Le Dinosaur will take a break from her

budding cover girl career to put the P in our Party. Parker Day will

be on hand providing proof of attendance and the possibility

of blog-photo recognition. DJ’s OMAR, FOREVER 21 and CAT FANCY

will bring the music and BEAUTY BAR, being the gracious host

that she is, will be covering your tab from 9-10PM!

If you ever lusted, loved or hated staffers or regulars over

the last ten years, this will be your chance to get your kicks

in because they are all slated to show up.

Goings on @ BEAUTY BAR AUSTIN

This weekend we had The HOOD INTERNET (Chicago) at the

CAR STEREO WARS (atx) monthly party. It was an all night dance

party inside while we had quite the eclectic lineup in the

backyard.

Austin’s The GOLDEN BOYS shone with their brand of

dirty, yet thoughtful garage tunes.

THE PEAKING LIGHTS out of Wisconsin bathed us in layers

of warm fuzz and echo and Houston’s DJ CHILL screwed-up all

kinds of tracks in between bands. Thanks to everyone who

toughed out the cold weather for the bands.

PORTUGAL. THE MAN coming to Beauty Bar SF 11/24

Portugal. The Man (not the country) will be in town this Monday the 24th

and after their show at SLIM’S they’ll bring their grimy alternative soul

selves to the Beauty Bar SF. The four man group has promised to throw

back a few and you really ought to too.

In other news, DJ LXNDR, Joselito and Rico serve as the agents of change

for a new Wednesday night. Beauty Bar is suiting up to welcome Secret

Service abroad.

Secret Service is a new jet-set dance party scheduled to start

this Wednesday with full scale promotional assault scheduled for the

pre- Thanksgiving Party on Nov. 26th.

Last Sunday CLAP YOUR HANDS STAMP YOUR FEET was a success and if

the new flier says anything about next month it’s “Wear leather, glue

sequins to your face, drink whiskey and let’s see what happens.”

Good Idea!- Almost as good as coming in Friday to see DJ FOREVER21

and OMAR on Saturday, both of whom are scheduled to spin on Sunday,

December 7th at the Beauty Bar SF’s Anniversary Party. The DJ special

guest line-up is building so mark your calendar and tell your

friends the Beauty Bar SF is turning 10!

KING KAHN & MURDER MONDAYS @ BEAUTY BAR SF

King Kahn and the BBQ show packed the Great American Music Hall

and headed over to Beauty Bar SF for a round of drinks, inspired

dancing and general merry making. KING KAHN took over the DJ

booth and the transition was seamless. The beautiful Kimmie had

the Sunday night crowd dancing and King Kahn kept it that way all

until last call.

Murder Monday is what followed up Sunday’s fun and somehow the

Murder devotees get better looking every week. Thanks to photos by

Olivia, there is some well shot proof for everyone.

Kimmie & Dominique have made names and careers for themselves

and they will combine their skills for this Thursday’s solid gold hit of

a night VAMP TRAMP. If you are not there, as a friend I should tell you,

everyone is going to talk shit. Don’t pout about it just clap your hands

and stomp your feet with Sugarfix and the Vanilla Gorilla this SUNDAY!

It will be a night of glamrock, power pop and bubblegum inside the

Glitter Palace of Booze Village.
